Duplicate an approved Wisery online card to reuse its company design for a colleague. Replace the copied personal details, check the new card’s own address, and send the correct installation-page link to its owner.
For: the person managing cards in one Wisery account. Duplicating an online card requires Pro and an available online-card slot. The copy is a separate online card; duplication does not create a Wallet card or a separate colleague login.
Prepare the company online card to copy
Review the Wisery online card whose appearance you want to reuse.
Check the approved logo, background, colors, fonts, button wording and content order.
Identify the fields that must change for the new colleague: name, bio, image, contact-saving details, personal links and booking destinations.
Keep company-wide links only where they apply to the new colleague.
Duplicate the approved online card
Create one copy from the intended Wisery source card.
Open Business cards → Online cards.
Find the approved source card and open its three-dot menu.
Select Duplicate. Wisery creates the copy without a confirmation dialog.
Find the copy in Online cards and open its preview. It initially shows the source card’s name and content.
Check Online card URL in the copy’s editor. The duplicate has its own address.
The online-card counter increases by one; the Wallet-card counter is unchanged. If you do not see the expected copy, check the list and counter before selecting Duplicate again.
Choose Duplicate on the approved source card. The copy is created immediately and has a separate online address.
Replace the copied colleague’s details
Changing only the visible name is not enough: the copied Wisery online card can still contain the original person’s links and contact-saving fields.
In Profile, replace Title, Bio and any person-specific profile image.
Open Blocks and review every added block.
Replace personal phone numbers, email addresses, social profiles, messenger destinations and booking links.
Check any contact-saving block so the saved contact belongs to the new colleague.
Make each button title match its destination, and remove content that does not apply.
The preview should identify the new colleague throughout. Keep a company-wide destination only when it is the intended link for that person.
Replace copied links and contact fields as well as the name. This screenshot uses fictional sample details.
Check the design and save the new card
Review the new Wisery online card before making its content available.
Compare the logo, colors, fonts, buttons and content order with the approved company design.
Check phone and desktop previews for readable text and working destinations.
When the details are ready to be visible online, use the editor’s displayed save control, such as Save and publish or Save my online card.
Open Share on the new colleague’s card, then open the public profile link inside Share online card in a visitor browser.
Check the person’s name, contact information and each destination on the saved profile.
Send the installation page to the colleague
The installation-page link gives the colleague instructions to use and add their card. It is different from the public profile link intended for visitors.
In Business cards, select Share on the intended colleague’s card.
Copy the installation-page URL from the browser address bar.
Send that page to the colleague and ask them to check the name before following its instructions.
The URL inside Share online card opens the public profile. Use that public link when the colleague wants to share the profile with contacts. For the complete manager handoff, see Distribute individual card links and Wallet installation instructions.
Send the browser address-bar installation URL to the colleague. The separate URL inside Share online card is the visitor-facing profile link.
Does duplication also create or connect a Wallet card?
Duplicating an online card creates an online-card record only. If the colleague also needs a Wallet pass, prepare a separate Wallet card and check its connection with Connect your Wallet card to your online card. Do not assume the new online card uses the original person’s Wallet connection. Wallet installation requires Pro on the account managing the card.
How do later company changes reach the copies?
Each duplicate is a separate Wisery online card. Review and update each copy when a company logo, color or link changes, checking that the colleague’s personal details remain correct. See Update a shared card without replacing its link or QR code for the update procedure.
Wallet cards have separate source records. Saved edits to an existing Wallet card update its installed device passes automatically without reinstallation. A contact already saved in a phone’s address book remains separate and must be updated or saved again by the recipient.
Why can’t I duplicate the card?
Check Pro access and the Online cards allowance. If the allowance is full, edit an existing card or review the seat options. If the subscription, counters and feature access disagree, ask Wisery support through the in-app Messenger to check the account before purchasing again.
