Update a shared card without replacing its link or QR code

Edit your Wisery online card, keep its existing web address, and check the updated page before continuing to use shared links or printed QR codes.

Update the information on your Wisery online card while keeping the same shared link and online-card QR code. Edit the existing card and leave its Online card URL unchanged. People opening that address can then see the updated page.

Applies to: online-card owners on Wisery Free or Pro. The profile, blocks, and design options you can edit depend on your plan. Review your content before saving: saving an online card can make its information accessible at its web address.

How do I update my online card and keep its address?

To update a shared Wisery online card, open the existing card rather than creating a replacement:

  1. Open Business cards → Online cards in Wisery and select the card’s preview.

  2. In Profile, note the existing Online card URL. Leave that address unchanged if you want to reuse its shared links and QR code.

  3. Edit your Title, Bio, or profile image in Profile. Open Blocks to change the card’s links or other content.

  4. Check the Preview. Review visible details, button labels, and destination links, and check for any Pro-feature warning.

  5. When the information is ready to be available online, use the displayed save control: Save and publish or Save my online card.

  6. Open Business cards → Online cards → Share. Copy the link under Share online card and compare it with the address you recorded.

Edit the existing online card and keep its Online card URL unchanged to reuse its link and QR code.

The saved online card should retain the same web address. For a card intended to be public, open that link in a visitor browser and check that the updated information and button destinations are correct.

After saving, compare the link in Share online card with the address you already shared.

Do I need to replace a printed QR code?

A QR code that opens your Wisery online card contains its web address. Updating the page’s content does not change the address encoded in that QR code. You can continue using the printed code while the same address still opens the intended card.

Scan the actual QR code from your printed material after the update. If you change the online card’s URL, connect a different destination, or replace the card, do not assume the old code will redirect correctly. Check the old address before relying on it.

What if the old information still appears?

If your Wisery online card still shows old information, check the page and card before editing the URL:

  • Confirm that you edited and saved the correct online card.

  • Open the visitor link from Share online card, rather than an editor or dashboard address.

  • Refresh the visitor page or reopen the link with an internet connection.

  • Check whether the outdated information belongs to the online page, an installed Wallet card, or a contact saved in a phone’s address book. These are separate formats.

If the saved page and visitor view still disagree, contact Wisery support through the in-app Messenger with the card link and a description of the field that is outdated.

oes editing the online card update Wallet and phone contacts?

A Wallet QR code linked to your Wisery online card opens the updated online page at the same address. To change the name, contact details, or design shown on the Wallet card itself, edit that card in Business cards → Wallet cards and select Save wallet card. Saving Wallet-card changes automatically updates cards already installed in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet; removal or reinstallation is unnecessary.

Details already saved in someone’s phone address book do not update automatically. The recipient needs to reopen your card and save the current contact details.
