Save changes to the correct Wisery card to update the format people are using. Online-card edits update the online page. Wallet-card edits automatically update cards already installed on devices. Contact details previously saved in a phone’s address book remain separate and need to be saved again.
Applies to: Wisery online-card and Wallet-card owners. Online-card editing uses the features available on your Free or Pro plan; Apple Wallet and Google Wallet installation require Pro. Save only information ready to be visible.
Which formats update automatically?
The following table explains how saved Wisery edits affect each format. An online-card page, an installed Wallet card, and a phone address-book contact are different copies of your information.
Format | What changes | What to do |
Online card | The web page shows saved online-card edits. | Keep the URL unchanged to reuse its link and online-card QR. |
Installed Wallet card | Saved Wallet-card edits update installed device cards automatically. | Edit the Wallet card in Wisery and save; no reinstallation is needed. |
Saved phone contact | Existing address-book details do not update automatically. | The recipient reopens your card and saves the current details. |
Downloaded image or print | A saved image or printed design remains unchanged. | Download and replace the image when its visible details change. |
How do I update the online page?
To change a Wisery online card’s profile, content, or links:
Open Business cards → Online cards and select the existing card.
Edit the relevant information in Profile, Blocks, Design, or Themes.
Review the Preview and use the displayed save control when the information is ready to be available online.
People opening the online card’s address can see the saved page. Keeping that address unchanged lets shared links and QR codes continue to open the same card. Online-page edits should not be used as a substitute for editing the fields displayed on the Wallet card itself.
How do I update an installed Wallet card?
To update a Wisery card already installed in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet:
Open Business cards → Wallet cards in Wisery and select the correct Wallet card.
Edit the name, contact details, design, or QR action that needs to change.
Select Save wallet card, then check the installed card on the device.
Saving the Wallet card in Wisery automatically updates its installed device cards. You do not need to remove or reinstall them.
Save Wallet card changes in Wisery to update installed cards automatically. Existing phone address-book contacts are separate.
Why does a saved phone contact still show old details?
A contact saved from Wisery into a phone’s address book is a separate saved record. Editing an online card or Wallet card does not automatically overwrite that address-book record. Ask the recipient to reopen your current card and save the latest contact details, following their phone’s prompts to review or update the contact.
What happens to downloaded images and printed QR codes?
A downloaded PNG or SVG image is a file, and a printed card is a physical copy. Neither changes when you edit Wisery. Download a new image if you want the visible name, role, or other printed details to change.
A printed QR code that opens your online card still contains the same web address. It can continue opening the updated page while that address remains valid. Changing the online-card URL can affect old links and QR codes, so test the actual printed code before relying on it.
What should I check if an update is missing?
First identify whether the old information is on the online page, in Wallet, or in the phone’s address book. Confirm that you saved the correct source card in Wisery. For an installed Wallet card, check the device’s internet connection and, if the Apple pass offers it, whether Automatic Updates is enabled. Reopen Wallet and check again. If the saved Wallet card and installed pass still disagree, contact Wisery support through the in-app Messenger rather than removing the pass as the first troubleshooting step.
