Prepare your Wisery card before an event so your QR code is ready to show and visitors can find the information you discussed. Plan separately for showing a saved QR code and opening the online destination behind it.
Applies to: Free and Pro online cards. Free supports online-card links and QR downloads. You can also create a Wallet card with the default design. Wallet card design options, installation in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and contact collection require Pro. Visitors need an internet connection to open an online card, follow its web links, or submit a contact form.
Prepare your Wisery online card for the event
Open the online card you want to use and review your name, role, introduction, and links.
Keep the main next step easy to find. For example, add a button to your product information, portfolio, or an existing booking page.
Remove or update outdated event offers and check each destination.
If you use the Pro contact collection block, confirm that the invitation to share details is easy to understand.
Review the finished online card before the event. Saving can make changes visible at the card’s web address.
Your online card should give a visitor a clear reason to open it. Ordinary link buttons direct people to existing pages; they do not create booking or follow-up automation in Wisery.
Keep your QR code ready before you arrive
In Business cards → Online cards, select Share on the card you will use.
Find Share online card using QR code and download the PNG or SVG file.
If you will show the QR image from your phone, save it locally where you can find it. If you will print it, test the final printed version.
On Pro, install your Wallet card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet before the event and check that you can open it.
A locally saved QR image or previously saved Wallet QR can be shown without loading the Wisery dashboard. That does not make the online card behind the QR code available offline.
On Pro, install your Wallet card before the event. This screenshot shows Wisery’s Apple Wallet installation option, not a pass already saved on a phone.
The installation QR shown above adds a pass to the owner’s Wallet. When sharing at an event, show the QR inside the saved Wallet card or use your downloaded online-card QR.
Choose the right Wallet QR destination
If you want the QR code on your installed Wallet pass to lead visitors to event links or a contact collection form, connect the Wallet card to the intended online card and choose the action that opens that online card. The separate Add to Contacts QR action has a different purpose: helping someone save contact details. Do not assume that it opens your full online profile.
Test the visitor journey before the event
Open your saved QR image or Wallet card on your phone and confirm that you can find it quickly.
Use another phone with an internet connection to scan the QR code.
Check the result for the selected QR action. A QR that opens an online card should show the correct profile and working links. A Wallet QR set to Add to Contacts should start the contact-saving journey; review the contact details and phone prompts instead.
Test the QR at the actual size and distance you plan to use. For printed material, test the final print rather than only its design file.
At the venue, check Wi-Fi or mobile-data reception before relying on online contact collection.
Check visibility and internet access separately: a readable QR code can still lead to a page the visitor cannot load without connectivity.
What if the visitor has no internet connection?
You can show a previously saved QR code, but the visitor may need to open its online destination later. Explain what the link contains and agree how to continue when a connection is available. Do not promise offline form submission or automatic contact capture.
Why is an event contact missing?
Opening a Wisery online card or scanning its QR code does not submit the visitor’s contact details. The card owner needs Pro for the contact collection block. Collection requires the visitor to complete and submit that form while connected to the internet. Saving your details to the visitor’s phone is also a separate action from sharing their details back to you.
