Update your Wallet card and troubleshoot missing updates

Save changes in Wisery to update installed Wallet cards automatically, without removing or reinstalling them.

When you save changes to a Wallet business card in the Wisery editor, the cards already installed in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet update automatically. You do not need to remove or reinstall the card on those devices.

Applies to: Wisery Pro users updating a pass already installed in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. You need the source card in your Wisery account and an internet connection on the phone to receive pass updates.

Save changes to your Wallet card in Wisery

  1. In Wisery, open Business cards and select Wallet cards.

  2. Open the existing card you want to update.

  3. Edit the details or design you want to change.

  4. Select Save wallet card.

  5. On your phone, open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, select the installed pass, and compare the changed details with the saved card in Wisery.

Saving the Wallet card updates the existing installed cards automatically. Open the pass on your phone to check the changed field, such as your name or position. Keep the same installed card; reinstallation is not required.

Check an online-card link or QR action separately

A Wallet pass can open a connected online card or help someone save contact details. If you edit the online card, check the web page that opens from the Wallet QR code as well as the information printed on the pass.

When you change the Wallet card’s QR action, select Save wallet card before testing. QR changes take effect when the Wallet card is saved. Scan the QR shown on the installed pass and confirm it opens the destination or contact-saving action you intended.

What if my installed Wallet card still shows old details?

  1. Check the source card. Confirm you edited and saved the same Wallet card that is installed on the phone. Similar names or duplicate cards can make it easy to check the wrong pass.

  2. Keep the phone online. Open its Wallet app again and compare the edited field.

  3. Check Apple Wallet pass options. On iPhone, open the pass’s More or information menu and its details. Turn on Automatic Updates if that option is available for the pass.

  4. Check Google Wallet. On Android, use the Google Account where you added the pass, and keep Google Wallet and Google Play Services up to date.

If the installed pass still differs from the saved source card, contact Wisery support with the card name, your phone type, the Wallet app you use, and the field that did not update.

Will a Wallet update change a saved phone contact?

Updating a Wallet business card does not automatically update a contact already saved in someone’s phone address book. The recipient can reopen your current card and save the latest contact details.

Does editing my online card change the text on my Wallet pass?

Your online card and Wallet card have separate editors. Edit the online card to change its web page. Edit and save the Wallet card when you need to change the details or design on the pass itself, then check the installed phone pass.
