What becomes visible when you save your card?

Understand what saving makes visible, review your online card before saving, and check what happens to details you have already shared.

Before saving a Wisery online card, check which details you are ready to make available at its web address. Saving a Free online card can make the card accessible by link, even when the button says Save my online card. Treat the save action as a step that can make your information visible online.

Applies to: people creating or editing online cards on Wisery Free or Pro. An online card is a web page. A Wallet card is a separate format for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Does saving my online card keep it private?

Saving a Wisery Free online card is not private draft storage. The editor may show Save my online card or Save and publish. Only save information you are ready to make available at the card’s online address.

If your Wisery account provides separate Publish and Unpublish controls, check the online card’s current status and the action you are about to take.

Which parts of an online card can visitors see?

When a Wisery online card is accessible at its web address, visitors can see the profile and content displayed on that page. This can include your name, bio, profile image, contact details, button labels, and links, depending on the blocks and features you have added.

Use the Preview in the online card editor to review that content. Check images and link destinations as well as visible text. A link or quick response (QR) code is a way to reach the card; choosing not to send the link does not establish that the card is private.

How should I review my card before saving?

To review a Wisery online card before making it available online:

  1. Open the online card in Business cards → Online cards.

  2. Check the profile, images, blocks, and links in the editor’s Preview. Remove information you do not want visitors to see.

  3. Review the save or publication control. Use it only when the card’s information is ready to be available online.

  4. For a card intended to be public, open Business cards → Online cards → Share after saving. Open the card link and check that the saved page shows the content you intended.

If you intend to keep a card unpublished, confirm its saved content and publication status within Wisery. Do not publish it just to test the visitor link.

If a page intended to be public does not match your intended content, return to the online card editor and correct it before distributing the link or printing its QR code.

What changes after I edit a card I have already shared?

When you save changes to an accessible Wisery online card, people opening its existing address can see the updated page. Keep the card’s web address unchanged if you want to continue using its shared link or printed QR code. Changing the web address is a separate action and can affect old links.

Contact details already saved in someone’s phone address book do not update automatically when you edit your Wisery card. The recipient needs to reopen the card and save the current details.

Does opening my card collect the visitor’s details?

Opening a Wisery online card or scanning its QR code does not automatically submit a visitor’s contact information. With the Pro Collect contacts feature, visitors choose to enter and submit their details. This is separate from viewing your profile or saving your contact details.

What should I do if I saved sensitive information?

Remove the sensitive information from the online card and check the remaining content before saving the correction. Contact Wisery support through the in-app Messenger if you need help with the card’s visibility. Correcting or unpublishing a card cannot remove information that someone has already copied.
