Download, test, and print your card’s QR code

Download your Wisery online-card QR, place it in your materials, and test the final screen or print before sharing it.

Download the QR (Quick Response) code for your Wisery online card and use this scannable square image on a screen or printed material. Test the final version so a scan opens the online profile you intended.

Applies to: Free and Pro online cards. Visitors need an internet connection to open the online card after scanning its QR code.

Download the QR for your Wisery online card

  1. In Wisery, open Business cards → Online cards.

  2. Select Share on the intended online card.

  3. On the Share & Save page, find Share online card using QR code.

  4. Select Download PNG for a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image, or Download SVG for an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file if your design or print tool accepts that format.

  5. Follow any browser download prompt, then open the saved file to check that the QR image is present.

Use the QR in the online-card sharing section. A QR shown under Apple Wallet or Google Wallet installation has a different purpose.

Use the online-card QR and its Download PNG or Download SVG controls. Wallet installation QR codes serve a different purpose.

Place the QR in your screen or print design

  1. Insert the downloaded file into your badge, printed card, sign, presentation slide, or other material.

  2. Keep the QR’s proportions and the clear space around it. Do not stretch, crop, cover, or decorate the code.

  3. Use a plain surrounding area and strong contrast so the code remains easy to distinguish.

  4. Add a short label explaining the destination, such as View my profile or Open our event links.

  5. Export a proof at the size you will actually use.

Choose the size for the viewing distance and test it. A code on a presentation screen or sign may need to be larger than a code held close to a phone. There is no single print size that guarantees scanning in every setting.

Test the final QR artwork

  1. Open the final screen design or print a proof.

  2. Scan that version with a phone from the distance your visitors will use.

  3. Check that the correct Wisery online card opens and its important links work.

  4. When possible, ask someone with another phone type to test it too, including iPhone and Android.

  5. For event materials, test in the intended lighting and check that visitors can get an internet connection.

Test the exported or printed artwork, rather than only the original download. A sharp source file can become difficult to scan after resizing or printing.

Can I keep using the same printed QR after editing my card?

You can keep using a QR that points to the same Wisery online-card URL when you update that card’s content. Changing the card URL or custom domain will affect previously shared codes. If the destination address changes, download a new QR, replace it in your materials, and test the final version again.

Why does the QR not scan or open the card?

  • The camera cannot recognize it: check focus, lighting, contrast, proportions, clear space, and the final code size. Try the original file to identify whether the design or printing caused the problem.

  • The QR opens the wrong place: confirm that you downloaded the online-card QR rather than a Wallet installation QR or a different card’s code.

  • The code is recognized but the page will not load: check internet access and open the card URL directly to check its availability.

  • No downloaded file appears: check the browser’s download prompts and download list, then try again with the card sharing page open.

Scanning an online-card QR opens its destination. It does not automatically save contact details or submit the visitor’s information.
