Set your online card’s search title and description

Edit your Wisery online card’s SEO title and description, save the fields, and understand what search engines may display.

Set the search title and description for your Wisery online card so search engines have accurate text describing your profile. You can edit these fields without changing the card’s web address.

Applies to: Wisery online cards on Pro. You need access to the online card in your Wisery account. SEO means search engine optimization; the settings below provide page information that search engines may use.

Open the SEO editor for your online card

  1. In Wisery, open Business cards and select Online cards.

  2. Find the card you want to change and select Share.

  3. On Share & Save, select Settings.

  4. Find the SEO heading and select the pencil icon at its right.

The Meta title and Meta description fields become editable. Grey, disabled fields in the summary view do not necessarily mean that editing is unavailable: select the SEO pencil first.

Write and save the search title and description

  1. In the SEO editor, complete Meta title. Use your name or business name and an accurate description of the page, such as “Alex Morgan | Product designer.”

  2. Complete Meta description with a useful summary of the online card. For example: “Explore Alex Morgan’s product design work and contact options.” Both fields are marked with an asterisk.

  3. Select Save changes.

  4. Reopen the SEO editor for the same online card and confirm that both fields contain the text you saved.

Wisery SEO editor with editable Meta title and Meta description fields, Cancel, and Save changes.

The SEO pencil opens the Meta title and Meta description fields. Save changes keeps the edits; Cancel discards them.

Use Cancel instead of Save changes if you want to discard the current unsaved SEO edits. Keep search text relevant to the profile; avoid repeating keywords or describing content that the card does not contain.

Why does Google show different text?

Google can choose a different title or description from the page content, and its displayed description can vary by search. Saving a Wisery meta title or meta description supplies preferred page information; it does not guarantee the wording, position, or inclusion of a search result. See Google’s guidance on search titles and descriptions.

Why has the search result not changed?

Google must crawl and process the page again before a search result can reflect changed page information. Updating the fields in Wisery does not immediately refresh Google Search. Google does not guarantee immediate indexing even when a crawl is requested. First confirm the saved text in Wisery; see Google’s recrawling guidance for search-side next steps.

What if the SEO changes do not save?

Check that you opened the correct online card, selected its SEO pencil, completed both required fields, and chose Save changes rather than Cancel. If the fields remain unavailable, check your Pro access. If saved text still does not persist, contact Wisery support with the card URL and the field that did not retain its value.
